Variable Resistor Rheostat is a type of adjustable resistor used for controlling the flow of electric current in a circuit. It is designed to vary the resistance by changing the length of the conductive path through which the current passes. It consists of a resistive wire wound around an insulated or ceramic core. Variable Resistor Rheostat has a movable contact, generally in the form of a slider or a rotating arm, that makes contact with the resistive wire. By adjusting the position of the contact, the resistance of the circuit can be decreased or increased, controlling the voltage and regulating the current flow across the circuit.
